INTELLIGENT DRIVER AIDS

From interior ergonomics such as our Peugeot i-Cockpit to innovative safety features like Hill Assist and Grip Control, Peugeots are designed with both the driver and passengers in mind with an assortment of innovations to make your journeys easier.

EMERGENCY COLLISION ALERT & BRAKING SYSTEM

In a hazardous situation, where collision is imminent, our Emergency Collision Alert & Braking system will intervene to provide an audible warning signal. If the situation persists the system will then apply the brakes to slow the car, helping you to  stay in control and avoid a collision – just one more way to keep you safe.

HEAD-UP DISPLAY

Of course it’s essential to keep your eyes on the road, so our innovative Head-Up Display projects all essential driver information at eye level. This includes vehicle speed and speed limiter and you can even add distance alert information as an optional extra, which helps you to maintain a safe distance from the car in front, highlighting the number of seconds between you and the vehicle in front of you.

PARK ASSIST

Reversing into a parallel parking space or getting out of one has never been easier, thanks to our Park Assist feature. It assesses the spaces available and notifies you if a suitable sized space is found, then the car takes over the steering while you control the gears and speed, and ultrasound sensors seamlessly guide you in. You’ll see a visual guide to your manoeuvre on the central touch screen as well as hear audio signals, so you can glide right in. The 308 also features 'Enhanced Park Assist', meaning that it can also guide you into a normal parking space in a car park as well as a parallel spot.

HILL ASSIST

Hill starts are now a breeze, thanks to our Hill Assist feature. When the car’s on a slope, it keeps the brakes on for about two seconds after you take your foot off, making it much easier for you to move off and prevents you rolling back.

GRIP CONTROL

Grip Control, available either as standard or as an option on selected models, is an advanced traction control system which allows these cars to grip the road in all conditions by optimising the traction of both front wheels. Five modes are available: standard, snow, all terrain, sand and ESP.

ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAMME (ESP)

Most Peugeot models come with the latest-generation Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), which is able to detect the first signs of a sideways skid and helps reduce over steer. It keeps the car on course by reducing engine power and braking individual wheels. Department of Transport statistics reveal that cars fitted with ESP are 25% less likely to be involved in fatal accidents.
