Telematics
The 5008 offers you a choice of cutting-edge audio or telematic equipment: WIP Sound Radio CD MP3 player, WIP Nav Hands-free Navigation Kit**, WIP Com 3D Telephone Navigation with 7" colour screen*, JBL Hi Fi system*. These next-generation systems enable you to listen to music, make telephone calls without being distracted from the road, get directions and information during your journey and even be rescued if there is a problem. *Available as an option, depending on version **Available as standard or as an option, depending on version
Video pack*
Wherever you’re headed, you want to enjoy travelling. Your children certainly won’t want the journey to end when they have a video pack keeping them entertained during long trips by allowing them to use their games consoles and DVD players. The sound is broadcast through two sets of wireless Bluetooth® headphones which operate on rechargeable batteries, while video is displayed on two 7" screens, which are fitted into the backs of the front-passenger head restraints and have protective covers to match the interior trim. *Available as an option, depending on version.
Even greater connectivity
The centre console of the 5008 includes a peripheral socket (jack or USB depending on the car’s audio equipment) which you can plug a mobile disk drive or USB key into. This has been cleverly positioned so that equipment you have attached can’t be seen from outside.
Available parking space*
To make parking easier, the ‘available parking space’ feature measures the size of a parking space, tells you whether or not you will be able to fit into it and says how difficult the manoeuvre will be. This feature is linked to front and rear park assist technology*, which can tell you how far you are from something you are parking in front of or behind. It emits a sound through the nearest speaker to the obstacle it has detected, and the sound gets faster or slower depending on how close you are. Head-up display
The head-up display* projects vital driving information onto a retractable screen located directly in the driver’s field of vision. The information displayed includes speed, cruise control or speed limiter status, and Distance Alert®* times (helping you stay a safe distance from vehicles in front). All the information you need is in front of your eyes, giving you extra confidence as you drive. *Available as standard or as an option, depending on version.
