ABS / ESP technology
The braking system on the Peugeot 308 includes anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic brake distribution (REF) and emergency brake assistance (AFU). Added to these three systems is ESP* (active stability control) contributing traction control (ASR) and stability control (CDS). *Availability varies according to engine type.
Airbags
The protection offered to the occupants is completed by a system ranging up to 6 airbags: two front airbags, two lateral thorax-pelvic airbags, a driver's airbag and two curtain airbags.
Euro Ncap
The Peugeot 308 SW was awarded five stars in Euro NCAP*adult-occupant tests, representing an "excellent" rating, the highest possible score. *European New Car Assessment Program, an independent body providing vehicle safety assessments.
PEUGEOT CONNECT SOS
With Peugeot Connect SOS*, Peugeot has put emergency call services within everyone's reach. Should your pyrotechnic seatbelts or airbags activate, your vehicle will automatically put out an emergency call. Peugeot Connect SOS locates your car, establishes telephone communication with you and requests that the appropriate emergency services be sent out. You can also call Peugeot Connect SOS manually if you are involved in or witness an emergency. * Current available in ten European countries, with a 12-country footprint scheduled for 2011.
